Lama is an architect and heritage professional who founded the Turathuna Foundation out of a deep, urgent commitment to rescuing the cultural monuments of Homs. Holding a master's degree in architecture with a specialized focus on the restoration, conservation, and management of heritage sites, she brings unparalleled academic and practical expertise to the organization's leadership.
Beyond her foundational role at Turathuna, Dr. Lama serves as the Vice President of ICOMOS Syria, actively bridging local conservation efforts with international heritage networks and advocating for the protection of heritage during times of crisis.
